A man shot to death in a shooting in North Rome Tuesday night was identified on Wednesday as a 22–year-old Rome man on a police report.
He was Detavious Jamalcom Milner who lived at Ross Street.
According to the report, police were dispatched to 20 Copeland Street shortly after 11 p.m. in reference to shots being fired.
When police arrived, one subject ran towards a patrol car and told the officer he had been shot. Several other subjects were running in the street screaming.
Early reports said one person was shot inside the residence, two were found shot outside and one later went to Floyd Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound.
Detective Chris Arrington said the shooting is an open investigation and they are following up on leads.
