The Summerville City Council will meet this evening at Summerville City Hall for its regular monthly meeting. Before the official meeting, Mayor Harry Harvey and the City Council will have a question and answer session with the public starting at 4:30 PM.

The agenda includes important financial and infrastructure items, as well as requests for signs and approval for a special event.

Key items on the agenda are:
– Approval of a $42,765. 50 payment to Northwest Georgia Paving for resurfacing State Hwy 48.
– Approval of a $72,000 payment to Calgon Carbon for granular activated carbon for water filters 3 & 4.
– Approval of a $24,369 payment to Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc (VHB) for water quality monitoring for the City of Summerville Watershed Protection.
– Approval of a $28,000 payment to Consolidated Pipe for a gate valve for the well transmission line project.
– Approval to purchase a 150 HP Pump from Hand Service Company for the water treatment plant for $21,412 plus installation costs.
– Approval of Change Order 1 for the Sanitary Sewer Improvements project and Change Order 2 for the Production Well near Gamble Spring.
– Consideration of sign requests from Murphy Chiropractic and Southern Group Realty, LLC.
– Approval for Rachel Groce’s annual outdoor runway show on E. Washington St. on April 11, 2025, with a rain date of April 24, 2025.

The Council will also have an Executive Session to discuss personnel and litigation matters. The meeting will end with a period for public comments before adjournment. Citizens are encouraged to attend and participate in both the public question and answer session and the regular meeting.
