A Summerville couple was arrested last Friday afternoon on multiple felony drug charges after a traffic stop initiated by the Georgia State Patrol led to the discovery of suspected marijuana, THC vape products, and a significant amount of cash.
According to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Nick Robinson overheard Georgia State Patrol radio traffic on August 9, 2025, requesting assistance for a search during a traffic stop on Economy Street, just off Highway 27, in Summerville.
GSP Corporal K. Flowers had stopped a black Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 39-year-old Kasey Aleah Love, with 41-year-old Brandon Lee Love as a passenger. Cpl. Flowers reported a strong odor of suspected marijuana emanating from the vehicle.
Deputy Robinson was called to the scene after Cpl. Flowers advised he had located approximately 4 ounces of suspected marijuana. Upon arrival, Deputy Robinson confirmed the strong odor of marijuana in the area.
A subsequent search of the vehicle by Deputy Robinson unearthed additional items. A large zip-lock style bag containing approximately 4.1 ounces of a green leafy substance, suspected to be marijuana, was found on the hood of Cpl. Flowers’ patrol unit, having been recovered from the Tahoe’s front middle console. Officers also located five multi-color suspected THC vape containers and pens, and one black suspected THC vape pen on the rear floorboard near the front passenger seat.
During the process of gathering evidence, officers discovered $1,791 in cash. Of this, $720 was found in a brown wallet claimed by Mr. Love, and $1,071 was found in a black bag that displayed Ms. Love’s concealed carry permit. Additionally, a black suspected THC vape pen was recovered from Brandon Love’s person prior to his transport.
Both Brandon Lee Love and Kasey Aleah Love were arrested by Deputy Nick Robinson. They each face felony charges of Marijuana – Possess/Manufacture/Sell/Purchase, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Schedule I Drug(s). All suspected narcotics evidence and currency were taken into possession by Deputy Robinson for processing.
Brandon Love was transported to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office by Summerville Officer J. Smith, while Kasey Love was transported by Cpl. Flowers to EMS for a blood draw. The Chevrolet Tahoe was impounded by a wrecker service from the scene.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
