The City of Summerville is seeking qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for a crucial raw water line connection project at its Raccoon Creek Water Treatment Plant (WTP). This significant infrastructure upgrade aims to enhance the city’s water delivery capabilities.
Sealed bids for the “Raw Water Line Connection August 2025 at Raccoon Creek WTP” project will be received until 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 19, 2025. Bids must be delivered to the City of Summerville, located at 120 Georgia Avenue, Summerville, GA 30747. All proposals will be publicly opened and read at this time and location. Bids received after the stated deadline will not be considered.
The comprehensive scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the installation of a new meter vault, a pressure-sustaining valve vault, and significant coring work at the raw water pump station. It also encompasses electrical and SCADA system integration, earthwork, site preparation, and the laying of approximately 800 linear feet of 16-inch Class 350 ductile iron raw water main. Additional components include yard piping, erosion and sediment control measures, grassing, construction staking, and all necessary mobilization, demobilization, and appurtenances for full completion.
Once awarded, the successful bidder will have 120 consecutive calendar days to complete all work in accordance with the provided plans and specifications. The project will be awarded as a single contract.
The City of Summerville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, including non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids. The City also reserves the right to waive informalities and to re-advertise the project if deemed in the best interest of the community.
