The City of Summerville is inviting qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for two significant community improvement projects: the installation of a new HVAC system for the city gymnasium and the construction of an ADA-compliant masonry block restroom in a local park. Both requests for bid (RFBs) share a submission deadline of 2:00 p.m. on November 21, 2025.
Under RFB-2025-117-Gymnasium HVAC, the city seeks proposals for the complete HVAC system and its installation at the Summerville Gymnasium. This essential upgrade is anticipated to enhance comfort and air quality for residents utilizing the facility for sports, events, and other community activities throughout the year.
Concurrently, RFB-2025-116-Block Restroom calls for bids on the construction of an ADA-Compliant Masonry Block Park Restroom. This new facility will ensure greater accessibility for all park visitors, improving the overall experience and usability of Summerville’s public green spaces for residents with disabilities.
For both projects, sealed bids must be delivered to the City of Summerville at 120 Georgia Ave., Summerville, Georgia 30747, by the 2:00 p.m. deadline on November 21, 2025. Bids will be opened publicly on the same day at 2:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Room, where their contents will be made public for interested parties.
Contractors are reminded that bids must be clearly marked with the respective RFB number on the outside of the sealed envelope for easy identification. All submitted bids must remain valid for 60 business days. The City of Summerville stresses that any bids received later than the specified time will not be accepted or considered, regardless of the cause of delay.
City officials will conduct a thorough review of all submitted proposals before making an award decision. Interested contractors seeking the full bid packages, including detailed specifications and conditions for either project, should contact Summerville City Hall during regular business hours.
These projects underscore the City of Summerville’s ongoing commitment to improving public infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
