The Summerville Depot and East Washington streetscape will be transformed into a magical “Winter Wonderland” with a street vendor market with over 44 craft and food vendors to celebrate the Christmas shopping season and Small Business Saturday on Saturday, November 30 during the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The public is invited to enjoy shopping, dining, children’s activities and visits with Santa to welcome the holiday season
Children’s Activities And Visits With Santa In The Depot
Children may enjoy free storytelling and a craft sponsored by The Friends Of The Library between the hours of 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. inside the Depot. As an added attraction, Santa will be on site for visits from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Victorian era characters will be positioned around the Summerville Depot for photo opportunities, and fun until 3:00 p.m.
Small Business Saturday Celebration & Holiday Stop N Shop
Event participants will pick up a locations map/passport at the Summerville Depot during the Mistletoe Market between the hours of 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. To join the fun, event goers will simply visit all of the participating businesses to complete the passport map during the businesses regular hours from Saturday, November 30 thru Wednesday, December 4. This activity is geared for ages 18 and up and there is no purchase necessary to participate. Upon entering the participating business, all event participants will have the sales clerk/cashier to stamp their passport map. Upon completion of the passport map, event participants will turn in the completed passport to Merle Norman/Ga Ga’s Boutique by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4 to be entered for the Grand Prize Drawing valued at $100, sponsored by Summerville Main Street. The drawing will be held on Thursday, December 5 following the lighting of the Christmas Tree at 7:00 p.m. during Summerville’s Christmas In The Park. Event participants do not need to be present to win.
