The Boys & Girls Clubs of North Georgia (BGC of NG), which includes the Chattooga County Boys & Girls Club, has been selected as a proud recipient of a 2025 community grant from the Taco Bell Foundation, a significant investment poised to empower youth across four vital North Georgia counties.
The generous funding is specifically earmarked to support the organization’s “Total Teen Takeover Initiative,” a comprehensive program designed to equip young people in Chattooga, Gordon, Murray, and Whitfield counties with essential resources crucial for achieving their academic, personal, and professional goals.
“This grant is an amazing opportunity to provide our teens with programs that will open doors for them and help them look forward to the future,” said Robbie Slocumb, Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Georgia. “We’re incredibly grateful to the Taco Bell Foundation and Team Tacala for believing in our mission and investing in the potential of our youth.”
The “Total Teen Takeover Initiative” aims to foster leadership skills, provide career readiness support, offer academic assistance, and expand access to enrichment activities for teens, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to navigate their futures successfully.
The grant to the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Georgia comes as part of a record-breaking year for the Taco Bell Foundation, which awarded an unprecedented $28 million in community grants this year. Nearly 500 nonprofit organizations nationwide benefited from the program, which is dedicated to uplifting youth in the communities that matter most to Taco Bell – those of its fans and team members. True to the brand’s innovative spirit, the Taco Bell Foundation actively supports nonprofits that embrace unconventional thinking and take bold approaches to creating new opportunities for young people.
This vital funding will enable the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Georgia to expand its reach and deepen its impact, ensuring that more teens in the region have the chance to thrive and build a brighter future.
