Residents in the surrounding areas facing food insecurity will have the opportunity to receive free groceries this Thursday, October 9th, thanks to the “There’s Hope for the Hungry” initiative. The distribution event will be held at the Central Avenue Baptist Church.

The program aims to provide essential food items to those in need without barriers. No identification is required to receive groceries, and the only stipulation is that recipients must be present to collect the food.

The giveaway will take place from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Central Avenue Baptist Church, located at 14074 Highway 27 in Trion, directly behind Dixie Subs.

In addition to the free groceries, a Clothes Closet will also be available on-site, offering free clothing to attendees. The Clothes Closet will operate from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm.

Organizers encourage anyone in need of food assistance or clothing to attend this community-focused event. “There’s Hope for the Hungry” and Central Avenue Baptist Church are committed to supporting their neighbors and look forward to welcoming the community.
