Local families seeking food assistance have a crucial resource available this week, as the community aid organization “There’s Hope for the Hungry” hosts a free grocery giveaway at Central Avenue Baptist Church in Trion.

The distribution event is scheduled for today, Thursday, November 13, and will provide free groceries to anyone in need, operating between the hours of 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Organizers emphasize that accessibility is key. No identification or proof of income is required for individuals to receive the food. Organizers do stipulate one requirement: participants must be physically present during the designated hours to receive the groceries.

Clothes Closet Also Open

In addition to the food pantry distribution, Central Avenue Baptist Church will also be offering access to its Clothes Closet during the event. Those interested in obtaining free clothing items can visit the closet from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm.

The church and the outreach organizations welcome all members of the community to utilize these services.
