Trion City Schools is actively seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to fill the crucial role of Translator (Spanish/English). This position offers a unique opportunity to directly impact the lives of students and families within the Trion community by bridging communication gaps and fostering stronger relationships.

The Translator will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including translating various documents – from educational materials to legal texts – ensuring the preservation of original meaning and accuracy. The role also involves scheduling meetings, providing interpretation services during meetings with non-English speaking families, and building trusting relationships to support their integration into the school system. Beyond translation, the successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues from different specialties to provide comprehensive support to families, communicating effectively with parents, teachers, and administrators to understand student and family challenges rooted in their culture and native language. Furthermore, the position will include receptionist duties as needed, welcoming visitors and managing phone communications.

Candidates should possess a strong command of both English and Spanish, a clear writing style, and a proven ability to quickly grasp new concepts, particularly within an educational context.
