The Trion Town Council voted on Thursday evening to upgrade the Trion Rec Center with an ADA compatible glass entry door. The total cost of the upgrade comes in at just over $14,000, but will improve access to the recreation center to people with disabilities. The new glass door will have button on the side of the brick wall coming into the building that a person can push and the door will automatically open. Trion Mayor Lanny Thomas says that the town is also doing ADA upgrades in the locker room and expects to have ADA compatible showers within the near future.
