The Town of Trion has officially confirmed that its annual Halloween Walk will return to its traditional date, Friday, October 31st, 2025. Meanwhile, the Trion Recreation Department is hosting a candy drive for the walk.
Initially, the popular community event had been shifted to Saturday, November 1st, to accommodate a scheduled high school football game. However, with the game now rescheduled to Thursday, October 30th, the Trion Police Department issued a revised announcement yesterday confirming the walk’s return to Halloween night.
“Due to the Trion home football game being rescheduled to Thursday, October 30th, the Town of Trion Annual Halloween Walk will be held on Halloween, Friday, October 31st,” the police announcement stated.
To ensure this year’s Halloween Walk is a sweet success the Trion Recreation Department is hosting a community-wide Candy Drive.
The drive aims to collect ample supplies to share with homeowners participating in the trick-or-treating route, ensuring there is plenty of candy for all the children.
“Please help us in making the Halloween Walk a huge success this year! We want to have plenty of candy for all the kiddos!” urged the Trion Recreation Department in a public appeal.
How to Donate: Residents wishing to contribute to the drive can drop off candy donations at the Trion Rec Dept. before 5:00 PM on Thursday, October 30th.
Participating Homeowners: Homeowners along the route who plan on handing out candy and wish to receive a donation package before the event must notify organizers. Please contact Kayla Willingham at 706-676-4847 to schedule a delivery time prior to October 31st.
Safety and Curfew Reminders
As many families are expected to participate, The Trion Police Department has issued important safety guidelines.
The Halloween Walk is set to conclude with a 9:00 PM curfew. Attendees are urged to be mindful and respectful of residents in the vicinity who may not be participating in the festivities, ensuring noise levels remain appropriate.
Crucially, for the safety of all attendees, young and old, a strict reminder has been issued: cross the street exclusively at the designated crosswalk located in front of the football field. This measure is being implemented to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for everyone involved in the celebration.
