The Walker County Sheriff’s Office Training Division is hosting an open forum for citizen gun owners on March 12th, 2025, at 6 PM at the Walker County Civic Center, located on Highway 27 in Rock Spring.

The forum will focus on providing an update on Georgia gun laws, addressing recent changes and answering questions from the public. The presentation will be led by Lieutenant Pat Cook of the Walker County Sheriff’s Office. This event is highly recommended for current area gun owners, individuals considering purchasing a firearm, and those who travel while carrying a weapon. The Sheriff’s Office aims to provide valuable information and clarity on the legal aspects of gun ownership in Georgia. Attendees must be 18 years or older.
