Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson says that his department is asking for help from the public with any information about a woman whose body was found in a field in a rural area outside of LaFayette earlier this week.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab has confirmed the identity of the woman found off Old Mineral Springs Road on Tuesday of this week as that of Britney Parker Cole.  The body was found by farmers in the area.

According to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office, the woman had no identification on her body when it was discovered.

Parker was employed at Wanda’s Restaurant in Rock Spring and had recently married a convicted murderer who was paroled from prison last year.  Sheriff Wilson said earlier this week that Mrs. Cole’s husband, Bob Jay Cole has been cooperating with investigators.  There have been NO suspects named at this time.

Ms. Cole was last seen leaving Wanda’s Restaurant after he shift ended on June 13th.
