The Georgia Department of Public Health has received limited doses of monkeypox vaccine for local Health Department Offices. Due to a limited number of doses, the vaccines are available by appointment only, depending on supply – and only for people who are currently eligible for the vaccine.

A forty-three-year-old Chattooga County woman was arrested this week in Cherokee County, Alabama. According to docket records from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Amber Whaley of Trion was arrested on Tuesday afternoon by Cedar Bluff Police on an outstanding warrant and was being held for transfer at the Cherokee County Detention Center.
