Authorities have arrested a 23-year-old man on charges of Aggravated Assault and Family Violence stemming from a domestic disturbance at a residence on Dickeyville Road.

Rene Juan Ramirez, 23, was taken into custody on the evening of September 25, 2025, after law enforcement responded to a report of a physical domestic incident. According to the police report, Ramirez is facing charges after allegedly attacking a woman with a large beer bottle and subsequently making explicit threats to kill her.

Chattooga County deputies and Trion Police responded to the scene at 352 Dickeyville Rd and encountered Ramirez in the front yard. Deputies and Trion Police noted that Ramirez, a Hispanic male, appeared intoxicated and smelled strongly of alcohol.

Due to a language barrier, a dispatcher was brought onto the phone to assist in translating. Investigators then spoke with the victim, a Hispanic female, who displayed visible injuries, including marks around her left eye, and appeared to have been crying. The victim stated that an argument began because of Ramirez’s drinking. During the altercation, he allegedly became enraged and struck her across the head with a large Modelo beer bottle.

The attack continued when the victim attempted to seek refuge inside the home. As she tried to close the door, Ramirez reportedly forced it open, knocking her down. The impact of the door striking her left leg caused a visible scratch, according to the report. While the victim was on the floor, the suspect allegedly punched her in the head multiple times before grabbing her by the hair and dragging her across the room. During the assault, Ramirez reportedly yelled at her, asserting his patriarchal role in the household and threatening to throw her out into the street.

The situation escalated further when Ramirez was being arrested. The report states he told the victim that if he were jailed, his boss would bond him out, and he would return to the residence to kill her. Authorities confirmed that two young children—an infant and a toddler—were present at the residence during the incident, though the victim stated they were asleep in their room and did not witness the violence.

Ramirez was arrested and transported to the jail on charges of Aggravated Assault/Family Violence.

Following the arrest, deputies provided the victim with information and contacts for the Family Crisis Center to seek immediate assistance and support. A warrantless arrest sheet was filed for the listed felony charges.
