Another Georgia Resident Killed by Rattlesnake A second Georgian has now been killed this year via a rattlesnake bite. Dick Rupert, 68, of Winder, was on a hunting trip last weekend in Oglethorpe County when he was bitten in the calf as he climbed down a tree stand. The first Georgian that died was a 65 year-old Dothan man who died in September after a rattlesnake bit him in the neck. Coosa Valley News
