Nine staff members of the Georgia Department of Labor’s LaFayette Vocational Rehabilitation office in Walker County have received Gov. Nathan Deal’s Team Commendation for Excellence in Customer Service Award for the fall quarter of 2010.

Award winners were Matt Henderson and Ed James of Trion; Marcie Floyd of Summerville; Kathryn Fox of Chickamauga; and Tamika Wright of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Steve Cole, Carol Hollis, Angie Rhudy, and Melissa Rowlls of LaFayette

The award is given quarterly by the Governor’s Office of Customer Service. It recognizes state employees who go `above and beyond` their basic responsibilities to provide extraordinary service to the citizens of Georgia. Award winners demonstrate service that is helpful, courteous, accessible, responsive and knowledgeable.
