Three LaFayette High School coaches, including one who is also a LaFayette City Council member, were arrested Friday night for having alcohol on school grounds.
According to the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Department:
Arrested were Norman Hodge, assistant girls’ basketball coach, a golf coach, and a City Council member; Michael Dunfee, baseball coach; and James Neal, boys’ basketball coach.
The men were arrested about 9 p.m. Friday at the LaFayette-Southeast Whitfield football game at Southeast.
Each was charged with possession of alcohol on school grounds. They were each released on $750 bond about an hour after their arrests.
The three men will be notified by mail about their court date.
