A Lyerly Man on Thursday reported the theft of 48 batteries to the Chattooga County Sheriff's Department. The batteries were at an address on Holland Chattoogaville Road and were among 50 stacked at the rear of a shed. The value of the batteries is listed at $2400, according to the report. The incident reportedly is under investigation.
