The 4-H Extension Office participated in the Project "Rivers Alive" this year. This project is designed to get the communities and youth working together to keep our waters and water ways clean. This year they had 17 Volunteers at 2 locations, (behind the NGEMC and on Wildlife Lake Road).

This year the volunteers collected a total of 540 lbs for trash and debris from the water ways.   The variety of trash collected was also used as a learning tool by 4-H Extension Associate, Susan Locklear to inform the students about the importance of keeping the waters and water way clean of trash and pollutants.
