Matthew Pace, a senior at Chattooga High School, addressed the Summerville – Trion Optimist Club at their monthly meeting that was held on Friday.  Matthew was elected this past summer to serve as a 4H State Officer by his peers from all across the State of Georgia.

On Friday, he spoke of how 4H has opened many doors for him and other 4H students as well.  He said that 4H has allowed him leadership opportunities and that one of the unique charachteristics of 4H is that it is inclusive of everybody – any student can participate in Georgia 4H programs. 

Matthew also said that one of the positive aspects of 4H is that is an organization that is dedicated to community and youth development.
