Georgia Northwestern Technical College has made its computer labs available to anyone wishing to apply for work at the new Volkswagen facility in Chattanooga.

The German automaker will be accepting applications online at vwjobschattanooga.com and GNTC is offering public access to anyone who doesn’t have Internet access.

Over the past days, 75 people have come to the three campuses combined to fill out applications.

"Most people who came in just wanted to get information and then choose to fill it out at home," said Amber Jordan, head of public relations for GNTC.

Labs will be available on the Floyd, Gordon, and Walker county campuses, but college officials stress that personnel at GNTC will not be able to answer questions regarding the positions at Volkswagen. The college is simply offering access to computers for the public’s convenience.

Labs opened Monday and will stay open through Nov. 7; times are 12:30-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 12:30-3:30 p.m. Friday; and 10:30 a.m. through 3 p.m. Saturday.

The open labs at Georgia Northwestern Technical College are in the following locations:

GNTC Floyd County Campus – Building H – Room H-148

GNTC Gordon County Campus – Building 300 – Room 305

GNTC Walker County Campus – Building 6000 – Room 6106
