With all of the zoning issues resloved and work progressing at the new Marvin’s Store in Summerville, corporate officials with the company are still planning to be open and ready for business at the home improvement warehouse by the end of July.  With the new store will come 25 new jobs in Chattooga County.

The Chattooga County Chamber of Commerce has been taking applications for the 25 new positions for Marvins, and according to Chamber President David Tidmore, around 800 applications have been submitted for the jobs.

Marvin’s Building Materials operates stores in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida.  The Summerville location will be Marvin’s first venture in Georgia.
