Mrs. Lucy Drucilla Bryson Horton, age 89 of Summerville, GA, died Monday, July 26, 2021, at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Horton was born December 19, 1931, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late John Wesley Dawson and Lou Margie Pettyjohn Dawson.  She was a member of Menlo Church of Christ, and prior to her retirement, was employed with E.T. Barwick.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by her first husband, Charlie E. Bryson; second husband, George H. Horton, Sr.; and a son, Thomas Ray (Dottie) Bryson.

Survivors include sons, Charles (Diane) Bryson, Sidney (Sheilah) Bryson, Willie (Connie) Bryson, and George H. Horton, Jr.; a daughter, Brenda (Tim) Rutledge; brother, Wesley (Geilda) Dawson; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 29, 2021, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Michael Dawson officiating.  Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Ryan Bryson, Jerry Rutledge, Travis Rutledge, Shawn Bryson, Timothy Rutledge, Tim Craig, Randy Bryson, and Seth Dawson.

Mrs. Horton will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday.
