The oldest rivalry in the state of Georgia will add another chapter tonight for the 87th time when the Trion Bulldogs travel to Chickamauga to take on the Gordon Lee Trojans.

The Bulldogs are 8-1 on the season and are looking to go 9-1 for the first time since 2003, the year the Bulldogs played in the semi-finals in the Georgia Dome.  More importantly, with a win tonight, the Bulldogs would lock down a second place finish in Region 6A and secure a home playoff game in the first round of the playoffs next Saturday.

Last year’s tilt with the Trojans is sure to be fresh on the Bulldog Nation’s collective minds.  Going in to last year’s game, Trion had won 8 in a row over the Trojans.  However, the Trojans had their way with Bulldogs on Trion’s home field.  Leading 42-13 with only minutes remaining in the game, Gordon Lee kept their starters in the game to score a late touchdown to hang 50 points on the Bulldogs.  Trion will certainly be looking to avenge that memory tonight.
