Mr. Jimmy Charles Green, age 82 of Summerville, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Green was born in Dutton, Alabama on January 20, 1939, son of the late William Winfrey Green and Mildred Hazel Sparks Dalrymple.  He was a member of the New Haven Baptist Church and was retired from the Colonial Bakery.  Mr. Green enjoyed fishing and hunting, gardening, whittling, watching Westerns and working on small engines.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Rita Brooks and Rhonda Green, and a brother, Ted Green.

Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Marie Green; daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Wayne McNeese, Lynne and Danny McGraw, and Tam and Billy Jackson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Carol Dalrymple, Randy and Becky Dalrymple; sister, Ramona Bryan; brother-in-law, Lamar Brooksl sister-in-law, Alma Jo Green; 9 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Green will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Sosebee and Mr. Philip Wells officiating.  Interment will follow in the Green Hills Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will include Jackie Parker, Josh Allmond, Sam Allmond, Drew Jackson, DeWayne Allmond, Chuck Norton, Hunter Allmond, Stacy Higdon and Chris Higdon.  Honorary Pallbearers will include Mr. Green’s Sisters –in-law and brothers-in-law, Philip Wells, Tapestry Hospice (Leigha Byars, Sharon Hughes, and April Moore); Eugene Dalrymple, Randy Dalrymple, Danny McGraw, Billy Jackson and Wayne McNeese.

Mr. Green will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
