Mr. William “Bill” Croy age 75 of Summerville, GA passed away unexpectedly Thursday- December 2, 2021 at a local hospital.

Mr. Croy was born February 19, 1946 in Trion, GA. He was retired from the United States Army having served over 24 years. He was a member of the Georgia National Guard, was a lifetime member and former commander of the VFW Post 3679, and a Gideon. He was also retired from Hayes State Prison, coached recreation ball for over 25 years, and was a member of North Summerville Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Ingle Croy; and Tony (Cara) Blalock and Brian (Lindsey) Hankins; as well as many friends.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Croy will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday- December 5, 2021 at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Barrett officiating.

Interment with military honors will follow at West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Tony Blalock, Brian Hankins, Colton Hankins, Craig Holt, Westley Thomas, and Ethan Hutchins. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men’s Sunday School Class, Tina McCutching, Kristen Hankins, Mr. Collens, Dewite Blalock, and Allen Butler. There will be a meal to follow at North Summerville Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 until the service hour.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
