MOTHER EFFIE MAE WILLIAMS BROOKS – Age 101, of Conley, Georgia and formerly of Lyerly, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021.  She was born on April 2, 1920 to the late James Oliver Scott Williams and Daisy McDaniel Williams.  She was preceded by her husband Robert Earl Brooks, Sr., and son, Reginald Brooks.  She was a member of City Springs Baptist Church

Survivors are her loving children, James (Patricia) Brooks, Vererly Ann Brooks, Phyllis Elaine Richardson, Olymphia Brooks, Robert Earl Brooks, Jr., and Effie Denise Wilson; grandchildren, Tyrone Deon Ricks, Veverly (Eric) Griffin, Sharita Wilson, Robert Earl Brooks, III, Dr. Chatira Wilson, Malcolm (Dasha) Brooks, Akeem Richarson; a host of  great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Service for Mother Effie Mae Williams Brooks will be on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 1:00 P. M. at Cedar Springs Baptist Church, Lyerly, Georgia with Pastor James Clark and other Ministers officiating.  Her remains will lie in state at the church from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour.  Interment,  McDaniel Road Memorial Garden.  Arrangements  by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
