Mrs. Doris Howard Rickett, age 78, of Summerville, GA, died Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Erlanger Medical Center.

Mrs. Rickett was born March 24, 1943, in Trion, GA, daughter of the late Jessie Lewis Howard and Martha Mae Whitten Howard.  She enjoyed cooking, dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved Vicks VapoRub.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Waymond Howard.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Rickett; son, Duane Rickett; daughters, Sheril Rickett, and Teresa Rickett; a sister, Linda Crabtree; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 23, 2022, from the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Pace officiating.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Mason Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
