Mrs. Barbara Lou Morris, age 82, of Centre, AL, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Atrium Health – Floyd.

Mrs. Morris was born April 12, 1939, in Summerville, GA, daughter of the late John Alton and Josephine Henson Hawkins.  She was Baptist by faith, and prior to her retirement, was the secretary and treasurer at Crews Enterprise Trucking Company.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Eugene Crews; daughters, Debbie Denson and Becky Morris; brothers, Jake Hawkins, William “Bill” Hawkins, and Harold Hawkins; sisters, Vera Nalley, Sara Faulk, Lena Norris; grandson, Jordan Walker; and a son-in-law, Dudley Wood.
Survivors include son, Cory Morris; daughters, Cassie Scarbrough, April Walker (Jerry Pellegrini); step-granddaughter, Ashley Mooney; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Thursday, February 24, 2022, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. William Scott Cox officiating.  Interment will follow in Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Jerry Pellegrini, Michael Walker, Joshua Walker, and Tim Teems.
Mrs. Morris will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) until the hour of service on Thursday.
Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
