Ms. Rebecca Ann “Marie” Kirby, age 69 of Trion, GA passed away Wednesday- February 23, 2022 at Atrium Health- Floyd.

Ms. Kirby was born March 27, 1952 in LaFayette, GA to the late John & Mable Thompson Kirby. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by several siblings.

Survivors include her children, Timothy Elrod and Cindy Reed; siblings, Janet Murdock, Frances Tucker, Joyce Gentry, Maggie Myers, Sue Owens, and Ophelia Padgett; 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Graveside & interment services to celebrate the life of Ms. Kirby will be held at 2:30 PM Friday– February 25 at Berryton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Mason Funeral Home.

Due to the current health concerns for the community, those in attendance are asked to keep in mind the current guidelines and restrictions set forth by the C.D.C. as it pertains to social gatherings including the use of face masks and hand sanitizer.
