Tom Franklin Scroggins, a home health care worker accused of sexually abusing a bedridden Rossville man in his care, is still awaiting a bond hearing. He has been charged with sodomy and sexual battery.

The case has been moved to Walker County Superior Court. No bond hearing date has been set for Superior Court.

Scroggins was arrested Wednesday, Dec. 22, on his way to the alleged victim’s residence. He is being held in the Walker County jail.

Scroggins, who worked for ResCare, a national home health care organization, has been charged with two counts of sodomy, one count of sexual battery, and one count of aggravated sexual battery against the bedridden Rossville man.

ResCare is a private home health care service and contracts with the local Veterans Affairs Department that employed Scroggins, as well as Hutcheson Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe.
