On Tuesday afternoon, Chattooga County Commissioner made the following announcement concerning the closing of county offices due to flooding damage and water issues:

“Due to a lack of water in the City of Summerville and major damage to our county buildings, the Chattooga County Courthouse, Courthouse Annex, and all other county offices without water will be closed until the water is restored and the buildings are cleaned and repairs made.  We will stay in touch with media to keep the public informed as to when we will be able to open these county offices.”
