Mr. David Dennis Lea, age 70, of Lyerly, GA, passed away Tuesday Feb. 8, 2011 in Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Lea was born Jan. 15, 1941, in Mentone, AL, the son of the late Robert and Unasee Taylor Lea. He was a member of the West Berryton Faith Temple, and an Evangelist. He was preceded in death by a sister, Naomi Jo Moses, brothers, Jimmy Lea, Herschel Lea, Terry Lea, and Ray Lea.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Flowers Lea, children, Dennis & Angie Lea, David & Christy Lea, JoNell Hulsey, Patty Anderson, Wanda & Robert Smith, brother, Andrew Lea, sisters, Margaret Ward, Glenda Eden, Mary Helton, Winonina Jackson, Carole Ramey, 17 Grandchildren, 7 Great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. John Mann and Rev. Billy Wright officiating with interment in the Bankhead Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Dewain Anderson, Patrick Anderson, Steven Anderson, Dustin Glenn, Eric Hulse, Paul Jackson. Honarary pallbearers will be Tommy Dye, Jeff Dotson, Lamar Collum, Mark Anderson, Sidney Bandy & grandsons. Mr. Lea will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
