A Chattooga County Investigator was fired last night by Sheriff John Everett. Sheriff Everett told AM 1180 that Investigator Gary Mull was fired from his job after he responded to a call with alcohol on his breath.
Mull had been working for less than a year as an investigator with the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department.
Everett said that Mull was the investigator on call when he responded to an incident. Sheriff Everett was also at the scene and noticed the smell of alcohol on Mull. He was fired on the spot and another deputy was sent to get the Sheriff’s Department Truck that Mull was driving.
