Tuesday, a Cloudland man hit a tree service truck that was stopped in the roadway on Highway 157.  According to the report from the Georgia State Patrol, Clifford Mountain of a High Road Address in Cloudland was traveling on Highway 157 in a 1976 Chevy Truck when he came upon a Freightliner truck that was stopped in the southbound lane of the road.

According to the report the tree service workers had just removed orange cones from the highway and were getting in the truck when they were struck in the rear by the Chevy driven by Mr. Mountain.  Troopers issued Mr. Mountain a citation for following too closely and a warning for defective equipment.
