Mrs. Lima Sue Hunter, age 81, of Trion, GA, died Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Atrium Health Floyd.

Mrs. Hunter was born January 27, 1942, in Fort Payne, AL, daughter of the late Oliver Hampton and Lucy Lorene Blevins Hampton. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with Mohawk Industries. Mrs. Hunter loved her grandchildren and enjoyed flowers and music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Freddie Hunter; daughter, Myra Hunter; brother, Billy Hampton; and a grandson, Jeffery Hunter.

Survivors include her sons, Jeffrey (Evette) Hunter, Darry Hunter; a daughter, Pamela (Terry) Vaughn; 9 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hunter will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Hunter will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
