Mr. Jackie Edward Mobbs, age 67, of Gaylesville, AL, died Saturday, February 24, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Mobbs was born May 11, 1956, in Rome, GA, son of the late Richard “Dick” Mobbs and Josie Battles Mobbs. He was Baptist by faith and was retired from Westinghouse. Mr. Mobbs was also a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his older brother, Jimmy Mobbs; as well as many other family members.
Survivors include his son, Richard Lynn Mobbs; a brother, Marvin “Turk” Mobbs; grandchildren, Kristian Mobbs, Michael Reynolds, Haley Studdard, Jerzie Mobbs, and Ryder Mobbs; great-grandchildren, Ryker Cavin, Raya Cavin, and several other great-grandchildren; honorary sons, Kevin (Rebekah) Henderson, Shane Hurley, Toby (Anna) Morrison, Brandon Tallent, and several others; several honorary grandchildren; and special friends, Leroy Grogan, Cathy Hurley, Carol Tallent, and many others.

Memorial services for Mr. Mobbs will be held at 4:00 P.M. (E.S.T.) Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jamie Maples officiating.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Mason Funeral Home from 3:00 (E.S.T.) P.M. until the hour of service on Wednesday.

In honor of Mr. Mobbs, the family requests those in attendance to dress casually or wear his favorite style of clothing, camouflage.
