Annie Ruth Hester Thomas, age 91, of Jamestown Road passed away on Monday, August 8, 2011.

Mrs. Thomas was born April 16, 1920 in Cherokee County, AL. She was Methodist by faith, baptized and joined the church at an early age. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Thomas; and a son, Joseph Fay Thomas.

Mrs. Thomas is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, John William and Maggie Thomas; two granddaughters, Angie Pritchett and Tracey Younce; one step-grandson, Donnie Hudson; 6 Great-grandchildren; and 6 Great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Keith officiating. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Billy Hester, Ernie Hester, Shaun Younce, Jackie Pritchett, Kenny Younce, Chamie Willingham, and Donnie Hudson. Honorary pallbearers are Bobbie and Charlie Crane, Kim Bullard, and Dale Hunter.
