Mohawk Industries will host a hiring event on Thursday, January 8, offering job opportunities at its Summerville manufacturing facility. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Trion Recreation Department, located at 90 Dalton Street in Trion.

Mohawk officials say immediate openings are available for Waste Handlers, Extrusion Operators, Sorters, and Lift Truck Operators. A 12-hour night swing shift (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) is currently available, with a starting pay range of $16.35 to $21 per hour, depending on position and experience. Previous experience is required for Extrusion Operator positions.

The company is offering a full benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, a comprehensive training program, and up to 80 hours of paid time off.

Applicants attending the event are asked to dress for the work environment, wearing long pants, a short- or long-sleeve shirt, and tennis shoes or work boots. No jewelry, piercings, hoodies, or jackets with hoods are allowed due to safety requirements, and long hair must be pulled up and off the shoulders. Candidates should also bring two forms of identification.
