Shane Kyle Gregory, Jr., 32, was arrested after deputies with the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported domestic incident at a home on Filter Plant Road in Summerville.
According to an incident report, deputies were dispatched to the residence on December 27, 2025, in reference to a physical domestic situation. The report states that multiple deputies arrived and separated the parties involved while they investigated.
The report alleges Gregory had been drinking and became increasingly aggressive during the evening. Deputies documented claims that an incident occurred involving a juvenile and that the juvenile had visible marks consistent with being grabbed. Deputies also noted claims of an altercation involving an adult male at the residence, with the report indicating the adult had visible bruising.
The report further states that during the incident, there were comments made about a firearm, though the report indicates no firearm was displayed.
Gregory was taken into custody and transported to the Chattooga County Jail. He was arrested on charges listed as Simple Battery and Simple Assault, according to the report.
