Two people were arrested in Summerville after police say officers responded repeatedly to a residence on Scoggins Street following multiple 911 calls reporting an escalating disturbance involving alcohol and loud arguing.
According to the incident report, officers were dispatched to 436 Scoggins Street on the night of January 31, 2026, after a man identified as Walter Lee Ferguson, 47, called 911 multiple times, at one point telling dispatchers he “was going to jail” and wanted to speak with officers but would not come outside or open the door. Police say additional calls came in reporting continued arguing, and dispatchers were later advised that a woman, identified as Pamela Regina Thompson, 53, had returned and entered the home through a window.
Officers reported both individuals appeared highly intoxicated, with the situation drawing continued attention from neighbors. Police say that when officers attempted to de-escalate the situation, the argument continued, and Ferguson allegedly made statements officers believed met the city’s definition of disorderly conduct. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct under a Summerville city ordinance.
Thompson was also taken into custody and charged with Disorderly Conduct, with police stating her actions and level of intoxication contributed to the disturbance and raised public safety concerns.
Both individuals were charged with disorderly conduct. As with all cases, the charges are allegations, and both are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
