MR. EUGENE DENNEY, age 74, of Orchard Hill Road-Summerville, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012, evening at his residence following an extended illness. A native of Huntsville, Alabama, He was born on July 26, 1937. Mr. Denney was a Veteran of Korea serving in the U.S. Navy and was retired from law enforcement and the security industry. Surviving are His wife-Mary Carol Knowles Denney; daughters & sons-in-law-Teresa & Jimmy Collette of Lyerly and Sandra & Sherman Rutledge of Summerville; granddaughter-Salley King; brother-Art Denney of Huntsville, Al. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 12th, at 2:00 P.M. from the J. D. Hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Russell officiating, interment in Greenhills Memory Garden. Active pallbearers, Gene Noles, Rodney Dempsey, Jimmy Collette, Tim Daley, Chris Noles, and Shane Noles; honorary pallbearers, Billy Noles, Junior Noles, and Lloyd Noles. The Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, Saturday from 6 until 8 P.M. Earle Rainwater Funeral Home in charge.
