The Summerville Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle break-in on February 27 at a residence on McGinnis Circle.

An officer was dispatched to 25 McGinnis Circle regarding damage to a vehicle. The complainant, Thea Woods, told officers that someone had entered her 2012 Kia Soul during the night and attempted to steal it.

The report states that officers observed damage to the steering column plastics, the ignition switch, and several wires and sensors hanging inside the vehicle. Police noted there were no signs of forced entry, and nothing had been reported stolen from the vehicle.

The victim told police she did not have any suspects in mind. She was advised to contact her insurance company to begin a claim for the damage.
