A Summerville man was arrested following a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning, March 18, according to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched around 1:34 a.m. to the intersection of Ridgeway Drive and Old Highway 27 for a crash with possible injuries. While en route, a witness reported that a male subject had exited the vehicle and was walking north along Old Highway 27.
Authorities later learned the man had been picked up by another vehicle. Deputies located and stopped that vehicle near the Walker County line.
According to the report, the male passenger matched the description given to dispatch and was found with visible injuries, including blood on his forehead. Deputies also detected the odor of alcohol.
The man, identified as Misha Arbors, 21, admitted the crashed vehicle belonged to him. After further investigation and field sobriety testing, deputies determined he was under the influence.
Arbors was transported to the hospital for medical clearance and later booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
He is charged with DUI (less safe, multiple substances) along with various traffic offenses. Authorities also noted he refused a blood draw after initially consenting.
