Traffic Stop In Gore Leads To Drug Arrest

A traffic stop near Gore earlier this month resulted in a drug arrest, according to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say 41-year-old Gary Lee Parker was arrested on May 14th and charged with possession of Schedule I drugs following a stop on Highway 27 near the Gore Fire Hall Road area.

According to the incident report, a deputy observed a vehicle traveling erratically and initiated a traffic stop after the vehicle crossed the center line multiple times. During the stop, authorities reported that Parker appeared extremely nervous and showed signs of possible impairment.

A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered suspected THC wax, suspected marijuana, THC vape cartridges, and drug paraphernalia.

Parker was transported to the Chattooga County Jail without further incident.

Arrest Made After Traffic Stop On Highway 27 In Chattooga County

A traffic stop on Highway 27 led to an arrest earlier this month, according to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Matt Wilson reported that on May 2, 2026, he observed a silver 1997 Toyota 4Runner traveling northbound with a tag light out near the area of Little Sand Mountain. After initiating a stop, the driver was identified as Jacobo Reynoso, 34.

According to the report, a language barrier made communication difficult, but Reynoso was ultimately determined to be driving without a valid license. Deputies also noted the vehicle’s tag light violation.

Reynoso was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Chattooga County Jail.

He is charged with driving without a license and a traffic offense.

According to reports, Summerville Police officers made contact with Barbara Ann Brock, 72, during a stop along Highway 114. Officers observed behavior consistent with drug use and conducted further investigation.

Authorities reported finding a substance believed to be methamphetamine, along with drug-related objects. Brock admitted to recent meth use and was taken into custody without incident.

Summerville Man Jailed In Rome Following DUI Traffic Stop

A Summerville man was arrested and jailed in Rome following a traffic stop at the intersection of Georgia 140 and Floyd Springs Road, according to reports from law enforcement.

Authorities identified the man as Jason Matthew Reece, 31, of Summerville. Officers said the stop was initiated after they observed Reece failing to maintain his lane of travel, prompting them to pull the vehicle over.

During the investigation, officers determined that Reece was allegedly driving under the influence of methadone and alcohol.

As a result of the stop, Reece was taken into custody and charged with DUI, reckless driving, and failure to maintain lane.
