Mrs. Sara Ella Mae Floyd, age 86, of Covington, GA (formerly of Trion, GA) died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Floyd was born September 25, 1925 in Floyd County, GA, the daughter of the late Arthur and Lula Teems McGuire. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Other than her parents, Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Curtis Floyd; sons, Larry Floyd and Charles Floyd; brothers, Freddy McGuire, William McGuire, and James McGuire; a sister, Rosa Lee Simonds; and a grandson, Chuck Floyd, JR.

Survivors include her children, Steven Floyd, Joan Kite, and Carolyn Bellamy; sister, Mary Davis; brother, Billy Ray McGuire; 8 Grandchildren; and 18 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Friday, June 1, 2012 at Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Minter and Bro. Meredith Crowe officiating. Burial will follow in Ami Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Great Grandsons.

Mrs. Floyd will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. Thursday, May 31, 2012.
