MRS. KATHY L. MITCHELL, age 51, of Old Highway #27 –Trion, Georgia passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012, morning at her residence following an extended illness. A native of Walter County, Georgia, She was born to the late William and Mattie Harris Carroll on January 12, 1961. Mrs. Mitchell was a former employee of Roper Corporation in the assembly department Line #2. Surviving are Her husband-Ray Mitchell; daughter-Katie Anne Mitchell; son-Jonathan William Mitchell; grandson-Jadon Aaron Mitchell all of Trion; sisters-Sharon Ann Carroll and Carolyn Burgess both of LaFayette; brothers-Larry Carrol of Chickmauga, Edward Carrol and Robert Carroll both of LaFayette; several Nieces and Nephews. 

 

Funeral services will be Sunday, June 17 at 3 p.m. from the J.D. hill Memorial Chapel of Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with pastor Robert DeForrest and rev. Gary Diggs officiating. Interment will be at White Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Michael Coley, Dennis Mitchell, Tony Walker, Josh Carroll, Donald Burgess, Larry Walker, Brandon Watkins and Bruce Hicks.  Honorary pallbearers will be Christal Coley, Terry Cagle, members of Floyd Health Care and Brian Cochran. Visitation will be Saturday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
