Mr. Billy Bradford "Bill" Cummings, age 82 of Silver Hill Road in the Gore Community passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012 at his residence.

A native of Gore, Mr. Cummings was born October 9, 1929 son of the late Arthur Bradford Cummings and Maggie Lee Allen Cummings. He graduated from Gore High School and was retired from Inland Paper.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea.  Mr. Cummings was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Annette Fitzpatrick Cummings, to whom he was married December 19, 1953.  He is also survived by his son Jeffery Cummings and daughter Angela Corbin; grandson, Jesse Corbin; brother and sister in law Stanley and Lorene Cummings; nephew Allen Cummings and a sister in law Joyce Fitzpatrick.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 PM Sunday, September 9, 2012 in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Fuller, Chaplain of Heyman Hospice and Rev. Horace Stewart officiating.  Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Honor Guard of The Shanklin-Attaway Post 5 of the American Legion providing military honors.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 PM until the service hour.
